Joining Clust-ER means contributing to the strengthening of the regional research and innovation system by fostering better collaboration between research labs and businesses through:
- Developing joint projects in collaborative research;
- Implementing systemic actions to promote shared resources and infrastructures between research and business systems, such as joint labs, pilot plants, and demonstrators;
- Promoting common initiatives for research valorization and knowledge transfer;
- Supporting high-level training initiatives.
To apply for membership in the Clust-ER Urban Economy Association:

- Companies, innovative startups;
- Accredited industrial research laboratories and innovation centers in Emilia-Romagna;
- Business consortia and networks;
- ITS Foundations and training institutions accredited in Emilia-Romagna, focusing on higher and technical education;
- Other entities and institutions involved in innovation, such as local authorities and cooperatives.
