Launch Event – Pilot Initiative for the GreenPATH & Lab MOVE-UP Projects_“Corporate mobility, welfare and sustainability in the Port of Ravenna”

On 23 March 2026, the Lab MoveUp regional workshop concluded with the launch event for the GreenPATH & Lab MOVE-UP pilot projects, held in the Conference Hall of the Port System Authority of the Central-Northern Adriatic Sea and organised by the Municipality of Ravenna.

Lab MOVE-UP (Collaborative mobility management for corporate, port and urban welfare) is a project promoted by the Municipality of Ravenna as part of the Emilia-Romagna Region’s Territorial Laboratories (2024–2025).
The initiative aims to develop innovative corporate welfare models based on sustainable mobility for businesses in the Port of Ravenna, through the creation of a regional network linking businesses, stakeholders and public bodies. The objective is to improve workers’ quality of life, reduce congestion and strengthen integration between the port area and the urban environment.

The project is being carried out in partnership with Clust-ER Economia Urbana, Clust-ER Innovate, the ITL Foundation and the Port System Authority of the Central-Northern Adriatic Sea, together with a broad network of local stakeholders, including trade associations and trade unions, in support of a collaborative and integrated approach to mobility and welfare.

Aim of the event

To present the new electric vehicle-sharing services (cars and scooters) made available free of charge as part of the pilot schemes for the GreenPATH (Interreg Central Europe) and LabMoveUp (Regional Project – Call for Territorial Laboratories) projects.

The pilot initiative aims to offer a more sustainable alternative to the use of private cars for the home-to-work journeys of employees at companies in the Ravenna port sector participating in the trial.

Developments

Clust-ER Economia Urbana, as a partner of the Lab MOVE-UP laboratory, highlights the strategic role of sustainable mobility as a lever for innovation in production systems and the improvement of working conditions, to the benefit of businesses, workers and the competitiveness of the region.

Also present alongside us were the other project partners, including Clust-ER Innovate, the ITL Foundation, and the Port System Authority of the Central-Northern Adriatic Sea – Port of Ravenna.

During the meeting, topics of particular interest to Clust-ER Economia Urbana were addressed, such as:

  • The trial of the ‘Corrente’ corporate car-sharing service, to introduce electric vehicles into the car-sharing scheme;
  • Dialogue between institutions, trade unions and companies to improve working conditions;
  • Mobility as a strategic lever for regional competitiveness.

This meeting represents a concrete sign of how mobility policies can contribute to the sustainable development of the region.
