Webinar: “New models for the sustainable development of the urban economy”

19 June 2026 | 10:00 – 12:00

Clust-ER Economia Urbana is a partner in the project “Local urban economy: skills for the sustainable development of businesses and new models of social interaction”, promoted by ISCOM Emilia-Romagna, a member of Clust-ER, and funded under the Emilia-Romagna Region’s Supply Chain Call for Proposals.

The initiative aims to strengthen skills and tools to support businesses and local stakeholders, promoting innovative models of sustainable urban development and new forms of social interaction within local communities.

As part of the project, the webinar “New models of sustainable urban economic development” is scheduled for 19 June from 10am to 12pm, offering an opportunity for in-depth discussion and exchange dedicated to the transformations currently affecting commerce, services and local economies.

The meeting will bring together researchers, businesses and institutions to offer an integrated analysis of the dynamics that are redefining local areas and models of local development.

Key topics for discussion will include the repositioning of retail between local and digital channels, the role of innovation in retail outlets and business networks, the opportunities offered by the Emilia-Romagna Region’s Urban and Local Hubs, strategies for regenerating urban brownfield sites for business purposes, and models of local governance to support local economies.

Particular attention will be paid to the connections between businesses, communities and institutions, with the aim of highlighting operational tools, experiences and concrete examples useful for strengthening the resilience, competitiveness and attractiveness of urban and rural systems.

Speakers at the webinar will include:
