Clust-ER Economia Urbana at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025 in Barcelona
From 4 to 6 November 2025, Clust-ER Economia Urbana, represented by project manager Stefania Migazzi, took part in the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, the leading global event dedicated to smart, inclusive and sustainable cities.
The congress gathers institutions, companies, research centres and international stakeholders to exchange ideas, explore policy trends and accelerate urban transformation through innovation.
Strategic meetings and new collaborations
Throughout the three-day programme, Clust-ER engaged in a series of meetings and networking opportunities focused on digital technologies, sustainability and emerging urban policies. Key activities included:
- A meeting with Cluster TIC Asturias to explore innovative approaches to the future of cities and potential interregional collaborations.
- A visit to the Catalonia Pavilion, with insights into advanced Catalan solutions for digital public services.
- An institutional meeting with Raffaele Laudani, Councillor for the Municipality of Bologna, aimed at strengthening relationships between regional ecosystems.
- A dialogue with the Clúster de l’Energia Eficient de Catalunya on joint opportunities linked to the energy transition and sustainable development.
- Participation in sessions organised by the Enterprise Europe Network, a strategic platform for innovation and technological cooperation.
- An exchange with the Edutech Cluster of Catalonia on innovative education models and emerging digital skills.
A key platform for urban innovation
With more than 1,000 delegates and 500 exhibitors, the Smart City Expo World Congress confirmed its position as a global reference point for shaping the cities of the future.
The participation of Clust-ER Economia Urbana provided an important opportunity to strengthen institutional relations, open new project pathways and promote the expertise of the Emilia-Romagna regional ecosystem.
