The Clust-ER Economia Urbana at the event: Territorial impacts and sustainability of peer-to-peer tourism in Emilia-Romagna

The Clust-ER Economia Urbana participated in the event ‘Territorial Impacts and Sustainability of Peer-to-Peer Tourism in Emilia-Romagna’, held on 27 February 2026 at the Department of Statistical Sciences of the University of Bologna.

The meeting was an important opportunity for universities, research centres and local stakeholders to discuss the changes taking place in the tourism sector and the impact of the peer-to-peer model in urban contexts in Emilia-Romagna, with a particular focus on sustainability and housing dynamics.

The proceedings were opened with institutional greetings from Simona Tondelli, Vice-Rector of the University of Bologna and President of Clust-ER Economia Urbana, together with Carlo Trivisano. The session of presentations, moderated by Silvia Rossi of Clust-ER Build, explored sustainability trends in peer-to-peer tourism and the issue of short-term rentals.

The event concluded with a round table discussion dedicated to the implications for local stakeholders.

The participation of Clust-ER Economia Urbana confirms the clust-ER’s commitment to promoting dialogue between research, institutions and local actors on the themes of sustainable urban development and the transformation of tourism models.
